Our office is based in the heart of Sydney’s marine precinct at The Sydney Boathouse in Rozelle Bay, alongside Sydney Superyacht Marina and the surrounding marine industrial estate. We also operate our own Gemini WR 720 rigid inflatable (RIB), giving us dedicated on-water capability for assignments on Sydney Harbour and further afield.

We create high-quality visual content for everything on the water, from yacht regattas and brokerage campaigns to boat manufacturers and defence industry projects.
Salty Boats is built on genuine passion for boats, sailing and life on the water. We are not general photographers working in a marine niche. We are boating people, sailors and marine content specialists who understand the environments we work in and the people we work with.
For more than 20 years, we have been photographing boats and telling stories from the water. We travel Australia and the world creating marine photography and video that feels authentic, informed and visually strong.

It is the right home for a brand like ours — immersed in the boating world and surrounded by the people, businesses and vessels that shape the industry every day.
We also operate our own purpose-built camera boat, ready for assignments on Sydney Harbour and further afield. That gives us the flexibility, access and on-water capability to capture marine photography and video properly, safely and efficiently.
Our marine Director of Photography grew up on the water, has competed in eight Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Races, and currently races an RS Aero 9. That lived experience shapes how we work. We know where to be, what to look for and how to anticipate the moments that matter, because we have lived them ourselves.
Salty Boats is also proudly connected to the sailing community as the naming rights sponsor of the Salty Dingo RS Aero World Championships 2027. For us, this is more than client work. It reflects a real commitment to the sport, the industry and the people in it.
